Graco Recalls 25,000+ Car Seats

Recalls involving child safety products can be tremendously worrisome.
For this reason, we want parents of small children to be aware of the
Graco car seat recall that was announced earlier this month.

More than 25,000 child safety seats were included in a recall announcement
due to concerns that harness webbing might break in a crash. This could
lead to children not being restrained properly during the crash. There
are Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards in place for child restraint
systems, which the My Ride 65 Graco car seat did not meet.

A total of eight model numbers of the My Ride 65 seat are included in the
recall if produced from May to August of 2014. Those model numbers are:

  • 1871689
  • 1908152
  • 1813074
  • 1872691
  • 1853478
  • 1877535
  • 1813015
  • 179433

The code tag on the webbing of the affected seats will be 2014/06. Fortunately,
Graco is offering to provide free replacement harnesses to owners of the
My Ride 65 seats. Surprisingly, the company claims that consumers may
continue use of the seats while awaiting the replacement kits.

Visit
gracobaby.com to determine whether your car seat is included in the recall or to order
a replacement kit free of charge.
